What is BeThere?

BeThere is a free live fantasy sports app for iPhone and Android. You join one real game (MLB or college football), draft a small roster of the players in it, and answer live in-game predictions, called Challenges, while it’s played. Everything is scored in points: there’s no real money, nothing to deposit and nothing to stake. Finish a game and you earn raffle tickets for prize giveaways.

How a game plays

One game, start to finish, in four steps

  1. Pick your game

    Open Discover and choose a game that’s live or coming up. You’re in one game at a time, from the stands or the couch.

  2. Draft your players

    Take players from either team. Baseball: a free starting pitcher plus five hitters on a budget of 100. Football: a quarterback, a running back, a receiver and two flex spots.

  3. Call it live

    Challenges pop up as the game moves: will this batter get a hit, how does this drive end, who wins? Answering is free, and calling it early is usually worth more.

  4. Climb the leaderboard

    Your players’ stats and your right calls add up on one live leaderboard for everyone in the game. When it ends, your point tier turns into raffle tickets.

Questions people ask first

Is BeThere real money? Is it gambling?

No. BeThere is free-to-play fantasy sports, not gambling: there is no real money anywhere in the app. You never deposit, stake or withdraw anything, and points are a score, not a balance.

Which sports can I play on BeThere?

BeThere has MLB baseball and college football, each while its season is on. The Discover tab in the app lists every game you can join right now: games in progress, plus games starting over roughly the next week.

Can I play BeThere with friends?

Yes. Everyone who joins the same game is ranked on one live leaderboard, so the easiest way to play with friends is to join the same game. From inside a game you can invite friends to it.

What happens if I join a game late?

You can join a BeThere game that has already started, but you start from zero. Each player you draft only counts what they do after you confirm your roster, and the app shows that late-join penalty, player by player, before you confirm.
